Remove any and all old sealants from all mating surfaces, and prep with rubbing alcohol or acetone prior to assembly. Be careful not to damage the crank seal during installation. Lightly tap it in place using an appropriately sized seal driver. Following these steps will ensure the best chances of a leak-free installation.
