This kit is to be used on later Toyota Land Cruisers with rod style throttle linkage. Fits: 9/1973 - 8/87 FJ40, FJ45, FJ55, FJ60 *Note: For 9/73 - 12/74, SKU: 542-100 air cleaner adapter is needed to use the factory air cleaner. The air cleaner adapter included with this kit works for 1/75 - 8/87 Cruisers. Engineered to fit - Designed to perform.All REDLINE kits are assembled with all the parts necessary for a quick and professional installation. Included in each kit is a complete set of installation instructions • 2 barrel 38mm • Dramatically increase horsepower, torque, and maybe even get some more miles out of a tank of fuel! • Electric choke • Tuner friendly and and can be re-jetted for better mileage or performance. Footnotes: * All kits require minor installation modifications and basic mechanical skills and hand tools. * This carburetor is not smog legal. * Carburetor kits cannot be returned once removed from box. 

Note: For best performance an electric fuel pump is recommended (505-120)

This kit was fantastic! Every part I needed to make the conversion, with all parts options covered well. Instructions were pretty good, though they might be a little too vague for someone with less experience. A few suggestions that would make it simpler for people with less mechanical experience: 1. Include some more info explaining why so many gasket options. 2. More info about where to connect the electric choke to keyed power. 3. More specific info about deleting the air injection rail if you are de-smogging. 4. A little more info about vacuum lines and how important PCV vacuum will be.
The photos were very helpful in setting up the throttle linkage, which was very simple and worked super well. All in all, worked well and fired up on the first try, ran great with very little adjustment. Would HIGHLY recommend for someone with some knowlege of engines and carbs.
